Consultation on proposed NSW Hunter coast offshore wind zone

Following the Federal Government’s declaration of Gippsland as the first offshore wind zone in Australia, they are now inviting feedback on the Hunter Region as the next. (Illawarra is expected to follow in 2023.) There are also community and stakeholder information sessions. Consultation closes 28 April 2023.

New manufacturing funding opportunities support renewable development

The NSW Government is dedicating $550 million in funding to the Renewables Manufacturing Fund and Low Carbon Product Manufacturing Fund to support renewable energy and low carbon products. Eligible projects include components for renewable energy such as wind towers, solar and batteries. Registrations of Interest closed 28 February 2023.
