Australia’s biggest agri-solar and battery storage project wins planning approval

Stride Renewables is very proud that the Blind Creek Solar Farm and Battery, a 300MW solar array coupled with a 300MW battery has been approved by NSW Department of Planning and Environment.

The Stride team provided development services including design, oversight of planning approvals and community engagement support for this innovative project. Lead in partnership with farmers Dominic Osborne and Jane Osborne, the project won the 2022 Clean Energy Council community engagement award.

Thanks to a collaborative team effort, ably supported by NGH, in putting together an EIS which lifts the bar on integrating grazing agriculture with solar, DC coupled batteries, conservation and cultural heritage.

Octopus Investments Australia and the Clean Energy Finance Corporation will now carry the project through to construction.
